Fika Craft is the creation(s) of Oregon based, Scandinavian born Jessica Koenig.

Jessica grew up in the countryside doing a lot of just that: Fika and Crafts. Fika being the Swedish word for a sit-down coffee-lemonade-snack (think cinnamon rolls and gingerbread cookies etc) - break.

After traveling and living in lots of places and countries, these quilts and designs - inspired both by travels and the surroundings of small town Sweden - has been a way of finding home away.

The designs are inspired by the eerie landscape of the Scandinavian countryside and of Swedish folkart. Patterns are not too busy, made to blend with the simplicity of Scandinavian homes. And the natural dyes reflect the closeness to nature that is to be found all over Scandinavia.

Each quilt is handmade over many hours, from design and dyeing to cutting and sewing, making each piece a one-of-a-kind high quality piece, made to last for years and years.

Fabrics are dyed in small batches using natural dye and usually some kind of other sourced fabric is added into the design. Quilts are machine pieced together and then entirely hand quilted using Japanese Sashiko thread.
